Barley Cottage is a lovely place to stay. It is very well equipped and attention has been paid to ensure that guests have everything they need. Tim and Nicola were very helpful and provided us with all the information we needed. The super big bed is really comfortable.

A wonderful cottage very clean cosy and a Huge Bed very comfortable , it was the perfect get away for a relaxing Christmas would highly recommend this property, the owners were very help full and friendly .

Barley Cottage is spacious and cosy at the same time. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is ideally situated to explore both Dorset and Somerset.

Comfy cottage very well furnished bed lovely and comfy. Neighbours very friendly and local pub does great food. Also farm shop for lunch. Very good holiday.

Absolutely beautiful cottage. Very comfortable and well equipped. Ryme Intrinseca is delightful with great views of countryside and a short walk to Yetminster which is lovely. Great base to visit all other surrounding areas. The Kings Arms at Thornford very good for food. Would definitely come back and recommend to family and friends. Must mention Buzz the dog who is just delightful!!

The cottage was cosy, comfortable and of a really high standard. Modern Furnishing, cleanliness, equipment. Welcome pack. It was only a 10 min walk, to historical White Hart pub, the owner, staff , food and service were tops. The cottage owners , Nicola and Tim were extremely helpful, nothing was a problem, as they wanted us to enjoy our holiday. There were plenty of interesting places to visit, within 1hrs drive. ( along traffic free roads ,) We recommend , research visits and book ( because of Covid 19.) Basically plan your day ahead, including postcodes. 

Nicola and Tim, care very much about their guests, in their beautiful cottage.

A wonderful stay in Barley Cottage, an excellent venue for exploring the towns, villages and National Trust properties. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought and hard work into providing such excellent comfort and facilities/equipment for their guests. Barley Cottage is fitted out and decorated to the highest standard. The welcome pack of milk, coffee, gingerbread etc was most useful. Shops and supermarkets are not too far away by car so food for our evening meals could be collected on our way home each evening. Our car fitted in the undercover parking space but extra space is available for larger cars. Most important to us, we were able to have a very quiet, relaxing stay, the village road is quiet and the neighbours friendly. We could not have asked for more from the cottage. Thank you
